PAWS Playground Fundraiser catalogue - orders due October 16th.

School photos - orders DUE next Wednesday, October 9th.

 Parent/Teacher conferences Wednesday, October 17th and Thursday, October 18th. Please complete the blue form and return it to the school stating your conference time preference.

The Marathon of Hope.

 

That’s what Terry Fox called his journey – his run across Canada to raise money for cancer research.
An extraordinary person with an extraordinary story, Terry Fox ran 42 kilometres (26 miles) a day for 143 days straight.
… 42 kilometers a day for 143 days… that’s the equivalent of running a full marathon every single day… for 143 days.
However, on September 1st, after 5,373 kilometres (3,339 miles), Terry was forced to stop running outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario because cancer had appeared in his lungs. An entire nation was stunned and saddened.
Terry passed away on June 28, 1981 at the age of 22.

Pop Can Tab Collection

Just a quick bit of information.  The school is trying to collect "Pop Can Tabs".  The tabs will be sent to Abbotsford BC, melted down and the money will start the process to build a wheelchair. It takes roughly 750 000 to 1 million tabs to make a wheelchair. The name of the agency is Pop Tabs for Wheelchairs.
